Today, the president signed into effect the Termination of Emergency with Respect to the Actions and Policies of Former Liberian President Charles Taylor thereby ending the Liberian Sanctions Program.

The termination of the program will mean that Executive Order 13348 has been revoked and that those designated under the Former Liberian Regime of Charles Taylor sanctions program are constructively de-listed.  A full list of the de-listings can be found here.

This news comes months after the United Nations also terminated its financial sanctions against Liberia.
